Yes we are back in the saddle again. We start the ride on PE-22 with lots of big truck traffic. After 4 miles we are at Rio Blanco and turn up PE-22A a dirt road and no traffic. At mid day I am out of energy and it is slow going. We are not completely healthy as we only climb 3800ft and go 14 miles. Find a nice camp spot by the river at 13800ft.

We finally are back on the rode and it only takes 5 zbusses to get us to Norte Plaza in Lima. Then we arrange for a bus back up the Andes. As evening arrives we are dropped off in

We take a bus out of Oyon to the desert coast and get a place overlooking the beach in Chancay. The place is quiet and restful. Lani slowly gets better. We even venture into Lima for the day taking the two hour bus ride each way. I get the illness but get better in two days.

We took a rest day in Oyon and Lani got sick. I worked on the bike and troubleshoot the Wilfried Schmidt Maschinenbau Son28 dynamo. Sent a video to Schmit and they said one of the connectors was bent and the wiring is broken internally. So I have no more working dynamo for the next 6 months of the trip. Lani is not getting better and the explosions throughout the night are not helping her rest. Oyon is having a 10 day party celebrating the anniversary of the town. So time to head for the coast.

After a restless night sleeping at nearly 15000ft we ride down a bit then more climbing. I am still not feeling great so it is a slow ascent. Finally top out at near 16000ft. It is an easy ride down on pavement to Oyon.
