7/23/18

I have gotten some sleep on the ferry.  The ferry arrived early in Lerwick Shetland.  I head south in fog.  Hike to a broch ruins.  The distinctive double wall structure was the same as the one I saw in the Outer Hebrides.  This must have been a large sea fairing culture in the first century BC.
The road cross the Sumburgh Airport has railroad crossing signs. I look both ways for crossing aircraft as I go over the runway.
Jarlshof ruins are extensive. I head back north. With the fog lifted I could see Mousa broch. I head up to the top of the hills to camp.
Love and kisses
Steve
